What You'll Do

Your day-to-day experience as a mobile echocardiographer will include:

  • Travels in a company-supplied vehicle to perform echocardiography studies for patients in a variety of service locations in the local community.

  • Demonstrates understanding of cardiac disease processes to obtain complete acquisition of images for clinical diagnosis by the interpreting cardiologist.

  • Operates portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patient’s bedside or other designated exam settings.

  • Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician. .

  • Transmits images and all required associated documentation to cardiologist in a timely manner according to company protocols.

  • Takes good care of vehicle; ensures that the vehicle is well stocked with necessary supplies prior to each shift.

  • Assists with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading cardiologists, customer call-backs and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.

What You Need

To qualify as a mobile Echocardiographer , you must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform, including one or more of the following:

  • Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non -invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography, adominal, and vascular ultrasound studies

  • ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation OR CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designationrequired.

Additional Experience:

  • Two (2) years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular tech preferred.

  • Additional Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).

  • Must have ability toperform quality and compete echocardiogram studiesandpossessexcellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Mustdemonstratethe ability to prioritize and organizedallyassignments of the Job.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

  • Mustdemonstratebasic computer skills to perform date entry.

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
