The Clinical Nurse Lead (CNL) assumes delegated responsibility for oversight of clinical care delivery and daily operations within an assigned market(s).This role provides leadership through the collaboration with the interdisciplinary team by planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care provided for patients.
What You'll Do
· Creates/fosters a positive environment and will lead by example and by holding staff accountable for their behaviors and attitudes (compassionate, professional, communicative).
· Works with the nursing leadership to identify and resolve operational, budgetary, patient, and personnel issues.
· Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care protocols, guidelines and strategic initiatives.
· Active participation in strategic planning and will effectively implement new programs and services.
· Supervises and mentor team members during assigned shift.
· Determines staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census and patient acuity.
· Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of standards of care for the market and the patient population. Participates in providing and monitoring staff competencies.
· Works with the clinical team to implement patient care plans and partners with the navigation team throughout the care phase to ensure best outcomes for patients and families.
· Provides direct patient care as needed. Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving. May take patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
· Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care, including formal evaluation, and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
· Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manages through established channels.
· Liason for third party and vendor relationships to ensure SLAs are being met and patient care is timely and prudent.
· Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transitions. Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
· Oversees the DispatchHealth Oklahoma Home Care Agency (“Agency”) including the regular reporting, education, and training for all Oklahoma clinical employees, including new hires
· Organizes and directs the Agency’s ongoing functions, employs qualified personnel, ensures adequate staff in-service, continuing education, and evaluations.
· Ensures the accuracy of public information materials and activities, and that Agency practices are consistent with written Agency policies.
What You Need
Oklahoma Home Care Agency Administrator Certification
o Please note that the individual hired for this role must have Oklahoma Home Care Agency Administrator Certification for the duration of his/her employment, unless otherwise directed by DispatchHealth.
· Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in home care within the immediate past 2 years or evidence of achieving the passing score on the National Association for Home Care Executive Certification Program examination.
- Or 1 year of Home Care experience
· Minimum of 2-4 years working as a clinical RN in an Emergency Department or Acute Care setting. · Minimum 1 year of leadership experience as a charge nurse, clinical care lead, or other RN administrative position. · Charge nurse or other leadership/management experience preferred.
· Proven track record for critical thinking and creativity in a fast-paced environment. · BSN.
· BLS.
· Active RN License in state of practice.
